BlackRoot Farms is back at Double Shift Brewing Company for some beer-drinking and branch bending! Whether you're just getting started on your bonsai journey, or just looking for an excuse to drink a beer and learn about bonsai, come have one on the house and take something home you won't regret!

What to expect

   1. Check in, grab a beer, and pick out your bonsai (1st Beer is on the house!)

   2. Brief introduction to the art of bonsai, tree basics, and bonsai care (~20-30 minutes).

   3. Demonstration of bonsai pruning and styling (~20 minutes).

   4. Get a refill! And then start pruning and wiring your tree with our help!

   5. Stick around for another round before taking your new bonsai home!

Ticket Information:

We offer two ticket options:

 - Skinny Mini ($50) - Dip your toes into bonsai with a younger, thinner tree. 

 - The Thickness ($75) - Dive into bonsai head first with a thicker, more mature tree. 

Both options includes include the educational rambling by yours truly (Hi, I'm Eliot), bonsai pruning/styling demo, your first beer, training wire/tools, and of course, your bonsai tree! While gloves are provided, feel to bring your own!

Tree Species

The treespecies we bring varies based on the season and availability. Expect to have a 2-3 options to pick from for each ticket size. Feel free to reach out in advance about which trees will be available at the next workshop!

While we accept walk-ins, we limit our workshops to 20 attendees, so get you're tickets in advance!

Please arrive 10 minutes early so we can start on time!
