Bald Cypress Forest
Bald Cypress (Taxodium distichum) Forest
Each of these forests contains 9–11 Bald Cypress trees, meticulously selected, spaced, and arranged to form a one-of-a-kind composition. Planted in 8" training pots, they’re designed for those who want to skip the guesswork and start with a cohesive forest layout that’s already off to a strong, balanced start.
As a Bonsai:
Bald Cypress is one of the few deciduous conifers, shedding its soft, feathery needles each fall. It thrives in wet conditions, grows quickly, and responds well to pruning, making it a favorite for forest-style bonsai. These forests have been arranged to reflect natural grove dynamics, and each grouping has subtle variation in trunk size and spacing to enhance realism.
📢 This is a cold-hardy species—it requires a winter dormancy and should be kept outside year-round. In locations with extreme cold, we recommend placing it on the ground, mulching around the pot, and protecting it from wind.
