These Chinese Flowering Quince were wired while young to establish trunk movement, giving them a foundation for future bonsai development. Grown in 6" pots, they offer established curves and branching to build upon through continued trunk thickening, pruning, and styling. Individual trees vary in size and shape.

Chinese Quince (Pseudocydonia sinensis) is prized for its exfoliating bark, which develops an attractive patchwork of colors as it matures. Pink spring flowers, glossy green leaves, and yellow to red fall foliage provide seasonal interest. Its response to pruning makes it well suited to developing a finely branched bonsai canopy.
