These Chinese Quince feature mostly upright trunks with gentle movement and plenty of branching for future development. They have not been wired, leaving you flexibility to develop their shape through pruning, branch selection, and additional trunk growth. Individual trees vary in size and shape.
Chinese Quince (Pseudocydonia sinensis) is prized for its exfoliating bark, which develops an attractive patchwork of colors as it matures. Pink spring flowers, glossy green leaves, and yellow to red fall foliage provide seasonal interest. Its response to pruning makes it well suited to developing a finely branched bonsai canopy.
