Bald Cypress (Taxodium distichum) Grove
Each of these forests contains at least 3 Bald Cypress trees planted in 8" training pots. Bald Cypress is one of the few deciduous conifers, shedding its soft, feathery needles each fall. It thrives in wet conditions, grows quickly, and responds well to pruning, making it a favorite for forest-style bonsai. These forests have been arranged to reflect natural grove dynamics, and each grouping has subtle variation in trunk size and spacing to enhance realism.
📢 This is a cold-hardy species—it requires a winter dormancy and should be kept outside year-round. In locations with extreme cold, we recommend placing it on the ground, mulching around the pot, and protecting it from wind.
