Species Description
Pitch–loblolly pine is a naturally vigorous hybrid combining the toughness of pitch pine with the fast growth and strong branching of loblolly. As bonsai, it develops quickly with bold needles, rugged bark, and a powerful trunk line. While not a traditional bonsai species, its hybrid vigor makes it a strong grower that responds well to training and can develop impressive character in a relatively short time.

Cold-hardy to Zone 4; requires winter dormancy and should be kept outdoors year-round
