This River Birch has a clean, upright trunk with developing taper and early signs of flaking bark near the base. A scar on the lower trunk adds some character, while the branching spreads evenly to form a balanced canopy. With its compact size and natural vigor, this tree is already well on its way toward becoming a refined, small-to-medium bonsai.
 
River Birch is a hardy North American native known for its distinctive peeling bark and strong, fast growth. Unlike common species often used in bonsai, River Birch brings something different to the bench—a rugged, native character with excellent vigor. Care Notes:
