‘Slowmound’ Mugo Pine (Pinus mugo ‘Slowmound’) is a dwarf cultivar developed by Iseli Nursery, valued for its slow growth, dense branching, and rich green needles. Its naturally compact habit makes it especially suitable for smaller bonsai, while its bark develops a rugged appearance with age. Mugo Pine is a single-flush pine and should not be decandled like Japanese Black Pine.
 
Care Notes
Light: Full sun, ideally at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily.
Water: Water thoroughly when the soil begins to dry. Use well-draining soil and avoid keeping it constantly saturated.
